Cuppers 2010
Cuppers is CDC’s annual friendly competition, open to dancers of all ages and abilities. The 2010 competition takes place on Saturday 20 February 2010, at the University Centre, Mill Lane. There will be two rock and roll divisions, open seniors and open beginners starting at 5:30pm.
More information can be found on the CDC website.
The competition is very friendly and it’s a lot of fun so come along and give it a go. If you don’t have a partner please email me and I’ll try and match up any free dancers.
Class Timetable: Lent 2010
The new year is upon us and a brand new term of Rock and Roll! The timetable for next term’s classes, starting on 19th January, is:
Tuesday – Authentic Beginners – Parkside Hall – 19:00-20:00
Tuesday – Modern Beginners – Parkside Hall – 20:00-21:00
Tuesday – Acrobatics – Parkside Gym – 21:00-22:00
Wednesday – Modern improvers – Parkside Hall – 19:30-20:30
If you’ve never done rock and roll before then don’t worry. Come along within the first two weeks and our brilliant coaches will guide you through the basics. Already done a term or more or rock and roll? Then come along and learn all new moves. Or even better why not come to the modern improvers class and have loads of fun learning some more advanced skills from our team coach, Stefan Turok.
Want to show off your skills from the authentic class? We’ll hopefully be holding a number of social rock and roll dances next term. So come along with all your best moves for a fun evening of music and dance. Details will follow soon.
