The Cambridge University Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Dance Team

Each year, young people who show high potential in the Rock ‘n’ Roll dance classes that we provide may be selected to join the team. This selection process is not very formal, and is performed by the team captain(s) and coaches (who also teach the dance classes).

 

Being on the team is a great opportunity, as it allows you to get the benefit of excellent private tuition. Not only this, but you can start to put figures together, with a dance partner, into a short routine. You will be able to integrate into a community of very friendly and enthusiastic people (who are there to have fun) and will learn to improve your dancing through these people.

 

If you’re enthusiastic enough (!!!) then, with some training, you can become part of the demonstrations that we perform. If competition is your thing, you can also do that at any of the several student national competitions held throughout the year.
